God has blessed me with many talents but one of them obviously is not the ability to maintain a blog
. So with that in mind, I thought I’d fill you guys in on what’s been going on these past few months…….
First and foremost: I got married!
On March 12, 2008, after 3 years of being together, me and Barbara finally tied the knot in her hometown of Bacolod in the Philippines. It was, by far, the best day of my life. Of course, anyone I told the news to wanted to know who my videographer was going to be. I’m proud to say that we were fortunate enough to secure the services of the best videographer in Asia and arguably the best in the world: Jason Magbanua (www.jasonmagbanua.com) Here’s the same day edit he produced for us……

And an 8 minutes highlight he produced for us soon after…….

It goes without saying that Jason and his team produced a video that we will always treasure and we are so grateful not only for his talent but also his friendship.
On the photo side, we went with Fotogra Weddings (www.fotogra.ph ) run by Karl de Leon and Mimi Abesamis. The thing that appealed to both of us is how well they captured the candid moments in their subjects and they certainly didn’t disappoint in that regard with us. They are both wonderful artists and wonderful people and I consider them good friends and not just vendors. Here’s a link to our photo gallery…..
http://proofs.fotogra.ph/gallery2/weddings/chris-barbara/ If going through the wedding planning process has taught me anything it’s that at the end of all the craziness of planning, what matters most is showing up……and of course making sure you have the best pics and video you can afford. Because at the end of the day, that’s what endures (other than being married obviously).
So far 2008 has been a great year. I’ve had the opportunity to not only return to some of my favorite spots to shoot in Dallas but also to see some of the world when I was commisioned to shoot a wedding in Anguilla in April. I’m returning to that corner of the world in October and can hardly wait. With my clients’ blessing I hope to be sharing some clips from my ’08 catalog soon. In the meantime, here’s one of my faves from ’07………

Anyway, I wanted to get everyone up to speed on what’s going on. Hope you’re having a great week and I’ll try and update my blog a little more often than once every six months
